Newly-crowned Premiership hard man Lee ’Clattermole’ has received a four match ban for his dismissal against West Ham. The midfielder saw red for a challenge on Scott Parker and misses matches against Sunderland, Hull, Everton and Arsenal. It is a blow for Steve Bruce as he attempts to guide his side to Premier League safety.

 

Meanwhile, the rumour mill for next season has already begun with the Latics being linked to Christian Benitez who currently plays for Mexican side Santos Laguna.
