Bundesliga Round Up Feb 2011![]() Bundesliga leader’s Borussia Dortmund still enjoy a 10-point gap over nearest challengers Bayer Leverkusen despite dropping points after letting a 1-0 lead over FC Kaiserslautern slip in the closing minutes. Sven Bender’s 82nd minute goal appeared to have won the game but after Neven Subotic was sent off, Jan Moravek stole what could be a very valuable point for struggling Kaiserslautern.
Both Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich capitalised with wins to close the gap albeit slightly. Strikes from Simon Rolfes, Renatoe Augusto and Hanno Baltisch saw Leverkusen notch a comfortable victory against Frankfurt. Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich had an equally comprehensive home win over Hoffenheim, Dutch star Arjen Robben hitting two after Mario Gomez and Thomas Muller had put them 2-0 up inside the first twenty minutes.
Mainz slipped up at struggling Cologne, going down 4-2 as the home team’s recent resurgence saw them move closer to safety, whilst Hannover could only manage a 1-1 draw at Werder Bremen. Borussia Monchengladbach stay rooted to the foot of the table despite taking an early lead at St Pauli. The dismissal of Igor de Camargo shortly after he put the visitors ahead undid his early good work and goals from Max Kruse, Gerald Asamoah and Matthias Lehmann gave the home team all three points to leave Gladbach two wins from safety. Stuttgart remain second-bottom following a heavy 4-1 home defeat by Nuremberg.
