Wigan Athletic and Newcastle United have completed a swap deal with Charles N’Zogbia joining the Latics and Ryan Taylor moving to St James’ Park along with a sum believed to be around £6M.

 

N’Zogbia has been looking for a way out of Newcastle ever since manager Joe Kinnear called him ’Insomnia’ and ’Charlie’ in a press interview. Whilst his thoughts on Kinner probably can’t be printed, the Frenchman was keen to thank the Geordie fans. "I will always hold the Newcastle fans in the highest regard and wish them all the best in the future” he said.

N’Zogbia becomes the record signing for the JJB side and is yet another transfer window addition to Steve Bruce’s squad.
