26 year old left back Wayne Bridge pulled out of a training session last week and is reported to have undergone surgery on his pelvis. Chelsea’s other left back Ashley Cole is also out with an ankle injury. If media speculation is true this means that in their current situation Chelsea would start the new Premiership season without a left back.
