Brazil duo Kaka and Elano are expected to return to the side for their World Cup last 16 clash with South American rivals Chile.

Kaka was suspended for the goalless draw with Portugal while Elano also missed the game due to a shin injury.

The last time Chile qualified for the World Cup in 1998 they were knocked out by a Ronaldo-inspired Brazil at the same stage, although goalkeeper Julio Cesar is expecting a tough game at Soccer City.

He said: “Now a new and more complicated stage in the competition begins and I am certain that Brazil will be ready. We have done what we expected to do so far and now we have to focus one game at a time and continue to improve game by game.”
