It has been a long-standing joke that the USA are World Champions at sports like Baseball and American Football that only they play. What odds on them now becoming World Champions at the world’s game?

 

Head coach Bob Bradley is convinced that his squad has what it takes to go all the way in South Africa 2010 after watching them head England in Group C to set up a second round clash with the sole surviving African side in the competition, Ghana. “When you got through, it is good to be able to go one game at a time and see how far you can go”, he said, “If we continue to build on the success we’ve had so far, we can go to the end.”

Bradley is not underestimating the task that lies ahead and is fully aware of Ghana’s abilities. “The team is organised, it has some talented individuals and great athletic ability. But when you look at their style of play, you see the individuals fit well into the team.”
