Both teams are looking at Europe for next season with UEFA Cup placement and both needing the full 3 points. The game was subject to 3 late goals for Reading who won 3-1 moving up to 7^th  in the English Premier League.

It took 64 minutes for the opener to arrive courtesy of an own goal putting Bolton ahead. In the 84^th minute Reading went on the attack which was to see 3 goals in 8 minutes. First came via the penalty spot through Doyle who followed up with a second in the 89^th minute. The game was wrapped up in the 92^nd minute with a third by Hunt. Man of the Match was Kevin Doyle.

This result leaves Bolton in a European place and I am sure they would like to call the season end now. However, they sit above teams with games in hand and need to continue picking up points until the curtain closes on the 06-07 season.
