Middlesbrough midfielder George Boateng admits he might leave the club at the end of the season.

Dutchman Boateng has not been a regular starter in Gareth Southgate’s team and has also lost the captains armband this season.

Despite having one more year left on his existing deal Boateng might look elsewhere in the summer as he wants to be playing first team football as much as he can.

Boateng joined Boro in 2002 from Aston Villa and admitted that there is a chance he could leave The Riverside in the summer. He said that while he was still at the club he would give 100% in each match and try to do his best for the club.

He added that he has enjoyed his time at the club immensely and has been grateful to the club and the fans for the way they have treated him.

He also said he doesn’t know if he has a long term future at the club anymore but will look at things in the summer and make a decision then.
