Blackburn defeated FK Vetra 4-0 to complete a 6-0 aggregate win in the third round of the Intertoto Cup. The achievement means that Mark Hughes side can progress to the next level for qualifying to the UEFA Cup competition.

Vetra were doomed after their midfielder Dejan Miloseski was dismissed during their away leg. After this event 3 goals flowed in for the Premier League side who were already a goal ahead.

Pedersen, Roberts, McCarthy and Samba all added their name to the score sheet during a confident display for Blackburn. Norwegian Pedersen was amongst many players who shone for Rovers.
