Blackburn Complete Signing Of Vogel
Blackburn’s new Swiss midfielder Johann Vogel has been given international clearance and could be in line to make his debut for Blackburn against Reading on Saturday. The 31 year old Switzerland international was given a two week trial at Ewood Park by Rovers boss Mark Hughes. He was then signed up after an impressive trial and was given a two and a half year contract. However, he was unable to play until he was given international clearance which he today received. Vogel was released by La Liga side Real Betis in December and was without a club until he was offered a trial at Blackburn. Speaking after hearing the news about Vogel receiving international clearance Rovers boss Mark Hughes said that he was slightly concerned at the amount of playing time Vogel has had, but he will have no hesitations in giving him some games as he won’t let the team down. Hughes added that he thought the signing was a superb one and that Vogel will be a good player for the club as he is an all round natural midfield player with an eye for picking out great passes and scoring good goals.
