Black Cats Need A WinSunderland only need a win to kick start their season. That was the view of Kieran Richardson after the draw against Fulham. With the relegation places looming ominously on the horizon, the Black Cats desperately need to find some form.
A string of draws have improved the recent run but Fulham represented a fourteenth game without a win and it has been a worrying time for Steve Bruce’s men. However, Richardson is certain that things can improve. “We were all disappointed with only drawing against Fulham, but it’s gone now and we’ve all got to move on. I don’t think its a million miles from turning around for us in terms of results, but you have to take it one day at a time and try to stay patient. But one good result gets us going again.”
Steed Malbranque has returned to the fold after being left out of the squad to face Fulham after a breach of club rules. The Frenchman broke a curfew prior to the loss to Arsenal and has been punished by the club but as far as boss Bruce is concerned that is the end of the matter. He said "Whatever has happened, Steed knows what's happened and with that, he has been punished. As far as I am concerned, the matter is closed. It will remain confidential, like anything that happens in the football club. "
