Black Cats Bolster DefenceFormer Rangers fullback Alan Hutton has signed for Sunderland on loan for the remainder of the 2009/10 season. "We have been particularly short of defensive options of late so Alan will come in at a very opportune time and will provide us with vital reinforcements," said the Black Cats boss, "We have tracked him for some time so we're delighted to have brought him here until the end of the season. I'm sure he will have a big part to play between now and May." Nyron Nosworthy has left the Stadium of Light to join Championship side Sheffield United whilst David Healey departs on loan for the Championship moving to Portman Road and former Sunderland manager Roy Keane’s Ipswich Town as does Daryl Murphy. Murphy almost joined Ipswich permanently during the summer and will no bought look to the second half of the season to push for a permanent deal.
