Carson Yeung is forging ahead with his takeover plans for Birmingham City football club. The Hong Kong businessman is preparing to hold talks with manager Steve Bruce who is concerned for his future in any takeover plans. In the short term Yeung refuses to comment on his blueprint for the club and whether he will offer Bruce a new contract.

Carson Yeung acquired a 29.9% stake in the club during the summer. It is expected that he will complete a takeover at St Andrews within the next couple of months.

His associates insist the takeover is imminent and claimed: "We are almost ready but we have to abide by the Stock Exchange rules in both Hong Kong and Britain."
