Despite previously stating otherwise all is not well between Rafael Benitez and Liverpool owners Hicks and Gillett. So much so that Benitez reportedly feels he is a dead man walking. Benitez has publically stated that he expects to be sacked at the end of the season with Mourinho tipped to replace him.

The ongoing spat with the club’s American owners has left the media certain that Benitez is preparing to leave the English game. Should Benitez leave he will not be short of job offers. He has been a long term target for La Liga giants Real Madrid whilst top Serie A teams such as Inter and AC could also be in the running.
