Beckham to make Milan move permanent?David Beckham could be set to make his AC Milan loan move permanent according to reports in Italy, after Beckham’s international future was place in doubt following his recent England omission. Beckham is set to join Milan on loan from January 7th in order to maintain his fitness levels, however it seems as if a permanent move may also be on the cards.
Milan director Umberto Gandini told press: "If Beckham agreed with his employers for him to be available to us for longer, and the Beckham camp was willing to negotiate, then anybody would be stupid not to consider that because he is a great player."
Beckham may also be reconsidering his time spent at the club with certain areas of the media suggesting that the midfielder may never reach Bobby Moore’s total of 108 caps should he stay at LA Galaxy.
However, AC Milan director Adriano Galliani contradicted fellow board member Gandini by saying: "I want to make clear that the club does not have any future projects for him (Beckham). All we know is that he will come to Dubai (winter break) and then he will return to Galaxy in March, besides that nothing else."
AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has cast doubt on whether or not Beckham will even play for the Serie A giants, telling press: "I don't even know if he'll be able to play for us. I mean the first goal is for him to get fit and in the best shape possible.
"Training with a club like AC Milan will definitely improve his game even if it's only from a training point of view. But I don't know if he'll play, that's another thing completely." Tags: David Beckham, AC Milan, Umberto Gandini, LA Galaxy, Serie A Posted: |
