Arsenal v Man City ReviewIt isn’t the best season for Arsenal, out of all cups and under achieving in recent matches. The target now was to get Champions League Football and there have really established themselves by going third (temporarily before Liverpool’s game on Wednesday) now with a 3-1 win over Man City. Arsene Wenger's men took the lead on 12 minutes through Tomas Rosicky, only for DaMarcus Beasley to pull City level just before half-time. Cesc Fabregas arguably Arsenal’s player of the season (see the PFA awards) finally fired The Gunners back in front with 17 minutes remaining and the win was wrapped up with Julio Baptista's goal seven minutes later. Man City did battle the way thorough the match with early pressure in the beginning of the second half. But they were crushed when Arsenal went 2-1 ahead. Our Man of the Match is Cesc Fabregas in good stead for the PFA Young Player Award. Arsenal’s season hasn’t been good for their ability. They miss the presence of Thierry Henry though through most of the season. This victory was a good one following a vital win over Bolton at the weekend. Arsene Wenger will now be going all out and looking at trying to finish above Liverpool for the Champions League place. Stuart Pearce has had a hard time this season and recently Pearce’s men have battled and given him results. In this match Pearce did praise his players and they did well but in the end they were inevitably outclassed by Arsenal. Best player for Man City was the goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson.
