At 26, Arjen Robben has won more than a lot of players manage in an entire career. His form in 2009/10 for his club Bayern Munich has cemented his place as one of the Netherlands top players and he is a certainty, fitness permitting, to feature in the finals in South Africa.

 

Groningen gave Robben his break in football but it was following his move to PSV that he really came of age. PSV won the Eredivisie in Robbens first season. Once again, impressive form attracted interest from abroad and Chelsea beat Manchester United to his signature. With Robben in their ranks, Chelsea won back to back Premier League titles, and both the FA and League Cups.

In 2007, he left Chelsea for Real Madrid where he won the La Liga title and two years later made the move from the Bernabau to Bayern Munich and won the Audi Cup, the German Cup and the Bundesliga during 2009/10 aswell as helping Beyern to the UEFA Champions League final.

A veteran of Euro’s 2004 and 2008 and Germany 2006, the winger with more than 40 caps is a potential match winner if he stays on his feet during the 2010 World Cup tournament.
