In the first leg Manchester United battled back to take a 1 goal lead to the San Siro. The final score was 3-2 after a late goal by Wayne Rooney. AC Milan’s away goals hurt United but they will be looking to carry momentum and progress for an all English UEFA Champions League final.

Recent performances for the Premier League leaders have not been great. They will need to up their performance if they wish to progress. Manchester United will be relying on their many stars to raise their game and create moments of football magic. United are still without a number of key players including Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Silvestre, Park and Saha.     

Milan recorded another win at the weekend against Torino in Serie A to put them in good stead for the midweek home game. Their away goals could prove instrumental if they are able to capitalize on their home advantage. Filipo Inzaghi has crucially been declared fit along with Gattuso 2 influential players for the Italian side. However, veteran defender Maldini will miss out.
