A record 9 UK stars have been unveiled in the 23 man Nigeria squad. Coach Berti Vogts named the squad ahead of the African Nations Cup tournament later in the month.

Veteran striker Nwakwo Kanu features for his fifth Nations Cup. Other Premiership players include John Utaka, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Joseph Yobo, Dickson Etuhu, Obafemi Martins and John Obi Mikel.LAGOS, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Nigeria coach Berti Vogts named a record nine English-based players in his 23-man squad on Friday for this month's African Nations Cup finals in Ghana. The squad is also bolstered by 2 players from, the English Championship. Danny Shittu features from Watford and midfielder Seyi Olofinjana from Wolves.
