The Toffees have won all of their six pre-season games and though they have not played against tough opponents so far, manager David Moyes will nevertheless be pleased with his side’s performances in the run up to the new season.

The Everton manager will be hopeful that all of his key players remain injury free before the start of the season as he looks to improve on their eighth placed finish from last time around. Though the transfer window once again saw speculation over the futures of a number of key players, Moyes has retained all of his players and managed to add a couple of shrewd buys including Jermaine Beckford and Joao Silva.

However he failed to persuade the club to bid for LA Galaxy star Landon Donavan with the Everton manager admitting that they were priced out of the move to bring him back to Goodison Park after a successful loan stint last season.
