The Giallorossi kept alive their diminishing hopes of Champions League qualification with a vital victory over Udinese last weekend with Francesco Totti grabbing the winning goal four minutes into the injury time.

The victory saw Roma move within four points of Lazio in the race for the fourth spot and with the Biancocelesti struggling to find consistent form, coach Vincenzo Montella will be optimistic that his side do have a chance to overtake both Lazio and Udinese and qualify to the Champions League next season.

Palermo on the other hand have seen their season implode following a disastrous run of form that has seen the collect just four points from their last eight games.

While they are still in the semi finals of the Coppa Italia, their Serie A challenge looks to be all but over with the Rosanero currently seven points behind Juventus in the race for the seventh spot.
