Napoli reduced Milan’s lead at the top of the table to just three points following their 2-0 win over Cesena. Goals from Edinson Cavani and Jose Ernesto Sosa gave Napoli a fine win and took them to 46 points from 24 games. With Cavani in great form, manager Walter Mazzarri will hope to procure another win at Roma this weekend.

Meanwhile Roma lost to Inter Milan 5-3 in a thriller last week. A brace from Samuel Eto'o and goals from Wesley Sneijder, Thiago Motta and Esteban Cambiasso nullified strikes from Fabio Simplicio, Mirko Vucinic and Simone Loria. The loss leaves Roma on the 7^th spot with 39 points from 23 games.

Roma boss Claudio Ranieri was disappointed with the loss, but voiced hope of a better showing in this game. He will know that Roma have to start winning consistently if they are to challenge for an European spot this season.
