The Giallorossi are off to a disappointing start to the new season and have managed to collect just two points from their opening three games in the league. Manager Claudio Ranieri is already feeling some pressure and has lashed out at the media following yet another poor performance against Bologna last weekend.

Inter Milan on the other hand seem to be slowing return to form after registering their second successive league win with a narrow 2-1 victory over Palermo last weekend. Samuel Eto'o grabbed a brace for his side after Inter had gone behind to a Josip Ilicic goal midway through the first half.

Goran Pandev remains the absentee for Inter with the striker out of action for at least another week with a knee injury while there are no major injury concerns for Roma who welcome back Nicolas Burdisso after he was suspended for the game against Bologna.
