The defending champions were held to a disappointing stalemate by Bologna in their opening Serie A match in spite of dominating the possession and creating a number of good chances especially in the second half.

The result, coupled with a heavy defeat in the UEFA Super Cup, has increased the pressure on Benitez who has a tough act to follow with Inter winning all of the three major trophies under Jose Mourinho last season. Inter will be looking to maintain their excellent form against Udinese in the Serie A with the defending champions winning the last four meetings between the two sides. 

Meanwhile Udinese will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Genoa in their opening match of the season. The Zebrette have managed to hold on to their key players in the transfer window and manager Francesco Guidolin will now be looking to get his side off to a good start as he looks to improve their 15th placed finish from last season.
