The defending champions have looked vulnerable under new manager Rafa Benitez, winning just three of their opening six games to sit second in the league table. Media pressure is building on Benitez following a disappointing performance against Juventus in the last match though Benitez revealed that he has been happy with the progress made so far.

Meanwhile Cagliari will be searching for their first win in five games with the Isolani’s solitary win of the season coming back in September against AS Roma. Cagliari have since then collected just three points from the next four games and have managed to find the back of the net just twice.

Pierpaolo Bisoli’s side lost both their games to Inter last season but with the departure of Jose Mourinho, the Cagliari coach will be optimistic of a different result this time around.
