The Rossoneri’s active participation in the summer transfer window yielded the required results with Milan climbing to the top of the Serie A table. However their disappointing defeat to Roma in their last match meant that Milan went into the winter break just three points ahead of Napoli and Lazio in the second place.

Milan are expected to add to their squad during the January transfer window with Antonio Cassano agreeing a deal with the club while Ronaldinho is expected to leave the club in January with Germio the likely destination.

Meanwhile Cagliari coach Roberto Donadoni will be satisfied with his side’s performances in the first half of the season with the Isolani sitting 13th in the league table, five points clear off the relegation zone.
