A narrow victory over arch rivals Inter Milan last weekend saw Milan climb to the top of the table for the first time this season. With other three title rivals struggling for consistency, manager Massimiliano Allegri will be aware that his side has a great chance of finally winning the trophy for the first time in nearly seven years.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was on target for Milan against his former club early in the first half as Inter struggled to create any real chance throughout the game. Allegri was pleased with his side’s performance and expressed his confidence that they can maintain their form for a foreseeable future.

Meanwhile Fiorentina will be hopeful of maintaining their recent return to form that has seen them win three of their last five games to climb to 12th in the league table. Fiorentina lost both their games to Milan last season and coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will be hoping for a different result this time around.
