Having secured a thumping victory over Lecce in their opening match of the season, Milan were expected to rack up the goals against newly promoted Cesena but in spite of dominating the possession, they were unable to prevent the home team from taking a two goal lead before the half time whistle while Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed a great chance to get his side back into the game after failing to convert from the penalty spot

Coach Massimiliano Allegri expressed his disappointment over his side’s performance against Cesena claiming that his side will have to start playing as a team if they are to stand any chance of wresting the league title back from Inter.

Meanwhile Catania will be looking to build on their first win of the new season following a good performance at home to Palermo last weekend. The Rossazzurri finished 13th in the league last season and coach Marco Giampaolo will be keen to get off to a good start and pose a serious challenge for a place in the top half of the league table.
