The Bhoys went into the Old Firm derby on the back of a perfect start to the new season with eight wins from their opening eight games and looked set for going three points clear at the top of the table after taking the lead through Gary Hooper only for Rangers to equalize through an own goal by Glenn Loovens before Kenny Miller grabbed a brace.

The result sees Celtic slip three points behind Rangers in the race for the league title and with the defending champions looking unbeatable, Celtic coach Neil Lennon will be aware that his side cannot afford to drop any more points if they are to remain in the title race.

Celtic will be hoping to maintain their winning streak against St Johnstone having won all the three games between the two sides last season.
