The Gers are currently two points ahead of their arch rivals and do have a game in hand. Rangers maintained their lead at the top of the table with a convincing 4-1 win over Motherwell last weekend with Kenny Miller scoring a brace to take his season’s tally to 22 goals while Vladimir Weiss was also on target with Steven Saunders scoring an own goal.

Celtic on the other hand left it very late to seal three vital points and avoid conceding more ground to their title rivals. St Johnstone looked to have done enough to claim a well deserved point but Cha Du-ri broke the deadlock in injury time before Ki Sung-yueng doubled the lead in the final minute of the game.

Rangers start the game as clear favorites to collect all three points from the game having already beaten Celtic once early this season with Miller twice on target early in the season.
