Both the sides are off to a perfect start this season and find themselves level on points with eight games gone. Celtic were made to work hard for their victory against Dundee United who created a number of chances against the title challengers. Gary Hooper had given Celtic an early lead but Dundee equalized through David Goodwillie and looked set for a well deserved point only for Hooper to grab the winner in the final minute of the match.

Rangers on the other hand secured a comfortable victory over Motherwell as goals from Steven Naismith, Steven Davis, Kenny Miller and Vladimir Weiss helped them bounce back from a goal down to register a 4-1 win.
