The Bhoys started their season with a narrow win over Inverness last weekend with Patrick McCourt scoring the only goal of the match with a brilliant solo effort 11 minutes into the second half.

Manager Neil Lennon expressed his satisfaction over the result with Celtic managing to keep hold of a clean sheet for the first time since Lennon took over as the manager of the club in the summer.

St Mirren on the other hand were unlucky to collect only a point from their game against Dundee United even though they managed just one shot on target for the entire game. Sean Lynch looked to have secured a win for St Mirren by breaking the deadlock in the 73rd minute only for Jon Daly to grab an equalizer in the final minute of normal time.
