Wolves manager Mick McCarthy will be hoping that his side’s good displays on the pitch will quickly turn into points starting with their next Premier League game against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday. While Wolves have been impressive on the field, they have very little to show for their efforts with the team managing to collect just nine points from their first 11 games to slip into the relegation zone. Wolves came up with another fighting performance against a depleted Manchester United side last weekend and were within a minute of collecting a well deserved point only for Park Ji Sung to grab a winner deep in injury time.

Bolton on the other hand put up their best display of the season so far to collect all three points against Tottenham last weekend. Kevin Davis opened the scoring midway through the first half before goals from Gretar Rafn Steinsson and another by Davis helped Bolton secure a 3-0 lead. Though Tottenham tried to stage a late comeback by scoring two goals in space of eight minutes, Martin Petrov put the result beyond doubt by scoring Bolton’s fourth of the game.

Bolton coach Owen Coyle was delighted with his side’s performance and expressed confidence that they can build on that result to cement their place inside the top half of the league table. Ricardo Gardner continues to remain the only major doubt for Bolton.
