The Hammers have had a disappointing start to the new season though improved results in the recent games has seen them come within just three points away from safety. The Tangerines had twice taken the lead through Neal Eardley and David Vaughan but Everton managed to equalize on both occasions which meant that both the sides had to settle for a point.
