The Baggies have put up some good performances in their opening four games of the season and have collected four points in the process. However manager Roberto Di Matteo will be aware that his side still has a lot of work to do if they are to avoid another relegation straight back to the Championship.

Meanwhile Birmingham will be looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season to five games after coming very close to an upset against Liverpool last weekend. The Blues were the better team in their last match and were denied a well deserved victory thanks to some excellent keeping by Pepe Reina.

New signings Martin Jiranek and Alexander Hleb should be available for selection for Birmingham after recovering from their injuries while there are doubts over fitness of Joe Mattock and Ishmael Miller for West Brom.
