The Baggies went into their match against Chelsea on the back of a seven game unbeaten run and though they had managed to take the lead through Peter Odemwingie, they were unable to prevent Chelsea from staging a comeback as Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Frank Lampard hit the back of the net to help the Blues to a comfortable 3-1 victory.

Manager Roy Hodgson admitted that his side deserved to lose the game and admitted that they were not yet completely safe from a relegation dogfight. With important games against Aston Villa and Wolves coming up next, Hodgson will be aware that his side will have to return to form as soon as possible.

Meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp will be aware that his side still has a great chance of overtaking Manchester City in the race for the final Champions League spot. Spur are just three points behind City with a game in hand over their rivals and a trip to Eastlands next month.

Both the teams had played out a hard fought 1-1 draw early in the season though Redknapp will be keen to improve on that result.
