Spurs have shrugged off an inconsistent start to the new season by winning three of their last four games to climb to fifth in the league table. Harry Redknapp’s side are level on points with Manchester United and with the Red Devils struggling for form away from Old Trafford, a victory against Everton could see Tottenham climb up to at least fourth.

Everton on the other hand will be hoping to build on their excellent performance from last weekend. The Toffees secured one of their most comfortable victories over arch rivals Liverpool in recent years as goals from Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta helped them collect all three points from the game. Manager David Moyes expressed his delight over the display and will be confident that his side has finally returned to winning ways.

The Toffees continue to be without Jack Rodwell, Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar with the trio out of action for at least another couple of weeks though Louis Saha could start the game after recovering from his knee injury.
