The Premier League action resumes this weekend with Tottenham Hotspur kick starting the event. They'll play host to West Bromwich Albion at the White Hart Lane, on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs have moved to the third place in the table, and need just three points to leapfrog Liverpool for the second spot. They have been in a terrific form, given that they have won their last five fixtures. Their record at home is even more astonishing, having won their last five home games, while scoring a minimum of two goals in all of them.
Their most impressive victory came against Chelsea before the break, when they humbled the Blues by 2-0 at home. As for the Baggies, their performance has been quite decent this season. Sitting at the eighth place with 29 points, they have lost only two of their last three games. However, considering their record as the visitors, they have been able to secure the three points on only two occasions in the recent weeks.
Dele Alli has been in an excellent form and so is Harry Kane. Combining this intimidating duo with the exciting atmosphere at White Hart Lane, this is surely going to be a win for Spurs. Except the host side to win this one with a clean sheet.
Tottenham will welcome West Bromwich Albion to White Hart Lane on Sunday 21, September at 13:30 hours BST.
Mauricio Pochettino could hope for better week than the last two as his team lost to Liverpool a fortnight ago and drew against Sunderland last week. Tottenham Hotspur is not exactly a team in form but on paper they are much stronger when compared to West Brom. Nacer Chaldli is in good form and will hope to build on it and carry the teams through.
The West Bromwich Albion players will need to step up to the occasion and challenge the Spurs as they seem vulnerable. West Bromwich Albion needs to find a win as they have failed to register one in the first four opening games. West Bromwich Albion has struggled in front of goal as well. They have failed to score in their last three games and are lying at the bottom of the table.
With both teams desperate for a win, this could be an end-to-end game which promises to be fast paced and exciting. However, it will be an uphill task for West Bromwich Albion to win away at White Hart Lane and hence, we could assume Tottenham Hotspur will pick up the three points on offer.

Spurs got a 3-2 win against Southampton last weekend. St.Mary’s hasn’t been an easy visiting ground for opponents this season, meaning that Spurs will definitely value the win. Out of favour striker Emmanuel Adebayor netted twice for the Lilywhites on either side of the interval as Spurs edged the five goal thriller.
Matej Vydra’s first goal in Albion colours got them a point against Hull City last weekend. The Baggies looked destined for a fifth straight defeat following Jake Livermore’s first half opener, but Vydra netted four minutes from time, sweeping home after some good work from Shane Long.
Last season, the corresponding fixture ended in a 1-1 draw, with James Morrison scoring a last gasp equaliser for Albion following Benoit Assou-Ekotto’s goal for Spurs. The Lilywhites are 7th in the table while Albion are fourth from bottom in the league standings.
