An intense match is set to take place in the Premier League this weekend, to stay clear of the relegation zone. Swansea City will welcome the defending champions Leicester City, to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The two sides are currently in the competition with 21 points each, and Leicester are the ones who are on the top at the 16th place. With the Swans just below them, a defeat here for either of the two sides will make things only worse for them.
The Foxes have failed to score in six of their last seven Premier League matches. They have lost last four of them, consecutively, and in three of those four defeats came with a margin of three goals. Their major priority right now would be to make some progress in the Champions League, along with retaining their grasp in the top 18.
Meanwhile, the Swans have been winning matches off lately. They defeated Liverpool and Southampton recently, but lost to Manchester City by 2-1 last weekend. Nonetheless, they still are in a much better form than their adversaries. The Swans are able to defend well and at the same time, they're able to score. With Leicester lacking the two traits heavily, this is going to be a tough ask for them. Swansea will start as the favourites here.
Swansea will be playing hosts to an in-form Leicester City on Saturday, December 5th at 15:00 hours BST at the Liberty Stadium. This could be a tricky game for the hosts.
Swansea City will look to have one over unbeaten side, Leicester, as they are now four consecutive games without a win. Kyle Bartley looked to be the only player who has improved in form after last weekend’s narrow defeat to Liverpool. Swansea sit one point behind Chelsea at 15th place and will look to improve those statistics by the end of this weekend’s fixture.
Leicester however, looks to be in impeccable form, continuing their undefeated run in their last six games. Jamie Vardy will look to add-on to his already set goal scoring record after surpassing Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record last weekend. Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri, who has managed teams like Juventus and Chelsea will be pleased with his prized striker and will be confident that Jamie Vardy will set an all-time record by the end of the season.
Leicester looks to be the obvious favourites in this fixture to grab all three points while Swansea may probably struggle in front of goal. Kasper Schmeichel may be called into action a couple of times as Leicester City’s back line still looks a bit off. All-in-all, this looks to be an easy win for Leicester, who sit behind league leaders Manchester City on goal difference.
Swansea City who started the season off very well, has just about hit a rough spot. They have not managed to win a single game in their last five encounters and will be hoping to change that when Leicester City visit on Saturday, October 25, at 17:30 hours BST at the Liberty Stadium.
One of the most important things to have over a long season like the English Premier League is consistency. Swansea City started the season really well but they haven’t managed to keep the momentum going. Loads of the hope for Swansea rest on the shoulders of Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Leicester City have had a mixed return to the premier league. They had a couple of good weeks followed by three tough weeks. They haven’t managed to win any of their last three league games and will be hoping to change that. Strikers Vardy and Uloa will be hoping to net in this game and get their season back on track.
Predicting this one will be tough as both teams have shown glimpses of playing top class football, if they manage to do that in this game, we will be in for a classic thriller.
