City started their campaign with a less than desired performance against Tottenham Hotspur but hit top form against Liverpool on Monday as a brace from Carlos Tevez and another goal by Gareth Barry helped them secure a comfortable 3-0 win over Liverpool. The Black Cats have collected just one point from their opening two games and Bruce will be aware that his side will have to start putting up consistent performances if they are to avoid another relegation struggle this season.

Lee Cattermole and Michael Turner should be available for selection after the duo missed Sunderland’s last game against West Brom due to suspension while Mancini is once again expected to make changes to his starting lineup as he looks to keep his big squad happy.
