While a poor away form has been the difference between themselves and league leaders Chelsea, United have looked invincible at home, winning all of their three games so far. However manager Alex Ferguson will be leaving nothing to chance as his side welcomes one of the surprise packages of this season with West Brom off to an impressive start this season.

The Baggies have won three and lost just two of their first seven games this season to sit 6th in the league table, just two points behind United. Manager Roberto Di Matteo will be delighted with the start so far but will be aware that his side still has a long way to go if they are to banish the prospect of relegation for at least another season.

There are no fresh injury concerns for United with Antonio Valencia being the only major absentee for Ferguson’s side. Wayne Rooney should recover from his ankle injury that has seen him miss United’s last game against Sunderland while Ryan Giggs is also expected to regain fitness ahead of the clash this weekend.
