An intriguing fixture in the Barclays Premier League is heading your way on Saturday evening, as the defending champions Leicester City will take on the probably champions Chelsea, in the King Power Stadium.
Leicester's record at home is quite impressive, having one undefeated in 23 of the last 25 matches. Most recently, they endured a defeat at home at the hands of Everton by 2-0, but they were quick to regain momentum with a 1-0 win against West Ham United. However, their poor away record has led them down to the 15th place in the table, with just six points shy of relegation zone.
As for Chelsea, their unbeaten record was put to an end before the break by Spurs, to whom they lost by 2-0. Despite that defeat, they are still at top with five points clear, but the Blues will be eager to get back to winning ways.
When the two sides met at Stamford Bridge, it was the host side to win by 3-0. But at King Power, we can expect a different dynamic. While Chelsea's players are in a significantly better form, the home spirit of the Foxes should keep them going in this game too. This will be an intriguing one to see, and the result can go either of the three ways.
Chelsea will welcome Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will be hoping to continue their good form after the midweek victory in the Champions League. Their manager and players will be hoping to continue this run. They face Leicester City who are currently at the top of the league playing brilliant football. The likes of Diego Costa and Eden Hazard will have to find their feet in this game. Willian will be looking to find the back of the net in this game too.
Leicester City have it in the middle of a dream run. Will the victory in this game will see them firmly in contention for a top four finish. Jamie Vardy will be hoping to get back to scoring form given that he missed out last weekend. Riyad Maharez will be hoping to find the back of the net after a wonderful hat-trick last weekend. Their manager and fans will be looking to take the game right to Chelsea from the blow of the first whistle.
Leicester City look good to actually win this game while Chelsea will have to dig deep and find it in them to come out with anything from this game.
Chelsea will be hosted by Leicester City for the Premier League encounter, on Wednesday, April 29th. The match will be played in King Power Stadium in Leicestershire and will kick off at 19:45 hrs BST.
Top placed Chelsea are still retaining their ten point lead in the competition, despite being held to a goalless draw by the third placed Arsenal last weekend. They have been really consistent throughout the season, and a couple of weeks back, they defeated Manchester United with 1-0. In addition to this, they have also routed Queens Park Rangers, Stoke City and Hull City.
Leicester City on the other hand are coming in this game, with their best spell of the season so far. Just when all hopes appeared to vanish, they began to play superbly and climbed out of the relegation zone. They are coming in this match with four consecutive wins. Their last weekend’s fixture was against Burnley, which they won with 1-0. Prior to that, they have defeated Swansea City, Leicester City and West Ham United with 2-0, 3-2 and 2-1 respectively.
While Leicester City are in a terrific form, I don’t think that they can continue their winning streak against a strong team such as Chelsea. I think the visitors should be able to get a comfortable win here.
