Back to back wins against Manchester United and Blackpool have breathed fresh life into Chelsea’s title hopes with the Blues just nine points behind the league leaders and having a game in hand as well. However, manager Carlo Ancelotti will be aware that his side will have to maintain the winning streak until the end of the season if they are to successfully defend their league title.

Man City on the other hand will be keen to consolidate their position in the top three that will see them automatically qualify to the group stages of the Champions League next season. The Citizens are currently two points ahead of Chelsea but have played a game more than their rivals.

City have struggled for consistency throughout the season and manager Roberto Mancini will be casting a wary eye towards Tottenham Hotspur who are just five points behind and have a game in hand. Mancini has all but given up on the title challenge with his side seven points behind United and still having to play Liverpool and Tottenham.
