League leaders Chelsea will face the 18th placed Hull City, in the Premier League this weekend. The match will be played in Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues are currently sitting on top of the table, with seven points clear of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. Owing to such an intimidating performance, where the hosts have won 14 of their last 15 matches, many fans have begun to picture Chelsea as the champions already. Despite their shocking 2-0 loss to Spurs a few weeks back, they have recovered well enough from that. This was evident in their 3-0 victory against Leicester City.
As for the Tigers, they are coming in this match after their second Premier League victory in more than two months. They hosted AFC Bournemouth, whom they defeated by 3-1. However, they have barely produced such remarkable feats as the visiting side. In fact, Hull City have lost their last eight away matches.
When the two sides last met, it was Chelsea who won the match by 2-0. At Stamford Bridge, their record is even more superior, which makes this game for the visitors an inevitable rout. Eden Hazard and Diego Costa have been absolutely ruthless against the opposition and this weekend should be no different.
League leaders Chelsea will be hoping to get back to winning ways after being outplayed by Newcastle last week. The Blues will be hosting an underperforming Hull City side at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Kick-off for this game will take place at 15:00 hours BST.
Chelsea will be hoping to come out all guns blazing given the fact that another drop in points could see Manchester City come swooping in closer to the leaders. Cesc Fabregas will miss this game due to suspension. He accumulated five yellows. However, the rest o the squad is fully fit for selection.
Hull City has been unimpressive in the league this season. They enter this game in the relegation zone and given that they are playing one of Europe’s most elite teams, they could end up falling further down the table at the end of the game. None of their players have found any sort of rhythm and each time they take the field, it seems like they lack understanding and vision.
This match is an easy one to call. Chelsea should get back to winning ways after clinching the game and the three points ensuring that they stay top of the league for another week.

Chelsea come into this game on the back of some testing friendlies in the United States, when they faced Inter, Milan, Roma and Real Madrid. While they beat the Italian trio, they lost to Real Madrid in the final of the Guinness Champions Cup.
Hull have moved to snap up the likes of Maynor Figueroa, Allan McGregor, Steve Harper and Yannick Sagbo in the summer window. Chelsea have been relatively quiet in the transfer window, with only Andre Schurrle and Marco van Ginkel as their big name signings, but the club have also openly admitted their interest in want away Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
