This game between Crystal Palace and Chelsea has the potential to be one of the games of the weekend. A quite shaky Chelsea will take on a decently confident Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Chelsea managed to scrape through and win 2-3 against West Bromwich Albion. Diego Costa was on target in that game and will be hoping to continue the same. New signing Pedro was right on the money and with his performance, fans will be expecting him to put in another master class. Club captain John Terry will miss this game after being sent off in the previous game, Kurt Zouma and Gary Cahill will start in the Center of defence.
Crystal Palace have been a very good side. The new players have fit well and the players are following the instructions of Alan Pardew, the manager, to the point. Yohan Cabaye has had great effect on the team, however Yanick Bolasie has not had the effect that people expected him to. Big Center forward, Connor Wickham, is yet to score his first competitive goal for the club.
This game could be a difficult one to call, but given that Chelsea and Jose Mourinho are playing at home you have to tip them to win.
Crystal Palace will travel to London this weekend to play Chelsea in the game week 35 of Premier League. The match will be played in Stamford Bridge and will kick off at 13:30 hrs BST, on Sunday.
The performance of the hosts in the recent weeks has been a terrific one. Still sitting at the top of the table, with a remarkable 13 point lead from their closest rivals Manchester City, they have truly been exceptional this season. They are coming in this match from a 3-1 win against Leicester City. In addition to this, they have also routed Manchester United, Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City. The only occasion where they couldn’t get a win came against Arsenal, in the form of a goalless draw.
Crystal Palace on the other hand are coming in this game from two consecutive defeats, which has pushed them to 12th place in the table. The defeats came at the hands of Hull City and West Bromwich Albion, with 2-0 respectively. Prior to that, they defeated Manchester City with 2-1 and Sunderland with a colossal 4-1.
For this match, it is of no doubt that Chelsea are the favorite ones. They have an immense amount of momentum and can easily see themselves through to the win here.
