Chelsea will host Aston Villa in a game which is more than important for the Champions. They are currently languishing in the bottom five and things need to change when they play this game at Stamford Bridge at 15:00 hours BST.
Chelsea are in deep trouble especially after finishing last season as champions. They haven't made a lot of changes to the squad but seem to be disoriented and uncoordinated when they take the field. Jose Mourinho will have to instill some fire in his players given the number of people expecting him to be axed if things don't change soon. The injuries list remains a worry given that Thibaut Courtois and Branislav Ivanovic will miss this game.
Aston Villa are in a similar situation given that they are in the relegation zone as well. A win for them will still keep them in the same spot. Gabriel Agbonlahor may miss this game due to a calf injury. His inclusion will happen only subject to a last minute medical. Overall, Villa have been distraught and do not seem to be gathering as much momentum as expected. Rudy Gestede is one of the players that the Chelsea defence will have to keep in mind. His speed and aerial presence makes him a goal threat.
This game should be a fast paced game, but the home team seems much stronger and should come out on top with the three points.
Stamford Bridge will see Chelsea take on Aston Villa on Saturday, 27, September at 15:00 hours BST. Six weeks into the league and this is surprisingly a top table clash.
Diego Costa who has had a dream run so far, will be hoping to continue his goal scoring form. He however has been playing with a tiny hamstring niggle which could aggeravate faster than expected.
Jose Mourinho will have to rotate his squad with Champions League football looming over in midweek. We could see a lot of the youngsters given a run in this game.
Aston Villa has surpassed expectations thus far with them in a Champions League spot as of now. For them to continue this inspring form, they will have to play ou of their skins. Aston Villa is a major threat on the counter but that will get nullified as Chelsea arguably has the best holding midfielders in the league. Andreas Weimann will be they player to look out for as his pace could give the Chelsea full backs a hard time.
A draw for Villa will be a very impressive outcome, but having beaten Liverpool a couple of weeks ago, they could be aiming for better.
Prediction: - Chelsea 3-1 Aston Villa

This is the second consecutive league fixture against London opposition for the Villans- they were away at Arsenal for the opening game of the 2013/14 season. However they don't have fond memories of Stamford Bridge, having been thrashed 8-0 there last year. The 8-0 was also the biggest win in the Premier League last season.
There were seven different scorers for Chelsea that evening as Villa were put to the sword. The Blues hold a significant edge over their Midlands rivals, having won the last five clashes between the two teams. The games have also been high scoring ones- the last six have produced close to five goals a game on an average.
The Blues also won the reverse fixture at Villa Park in May, triumphing 2-1 thanks to two goals from Frank Lampard after Villa's ace striker Christian Benteke had put the home side ahead.

Villa have not tasted defeat since losing out to Liverpool in December last year and with just eight games remaining in the season, Martin O’Neill’s side have a great chance of winning the race for the fourth spot and qualify for the Champions League.
Villa go into the match on the back of a hard fought 2-2 draw against Wolves last weekend with John Carew scoring a brace, including a late equalizer eight minutes from the final whistle. O’Neill is missing two of his key players with Gabriel Agbonlahor and Richard Dunne both serious doubts for the game this weekend.
Meanwhile Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has declared that his job is safe even if his side fails to with the league title. A poor run of just two wins in last five games has seen Chelsea slip down to third in the table and pressure is high on Ancelotti to turn his side’s form around.
Petr Cech should be available for selection after recovering from a calf injury but Michael Essien, Ashley Cole, Jose Bosingwa and Branislav Ivanovic are all out injured.
