Bolton have won just one of their last seven games, a form replicated by Everton until their thrilling victory over Blackpool last weekend. Bolton’s only victory came in their narrow win over Wolves and manager Owen Coyle will be disappointed that they were unable to add to that tally last weekend against Tottenham.

Rafael van der Vaart gave Spurs and early lead from the penalty spot but failed to repeat it two minutes later. Bolton took full advantage of that miss to pull level through Daniel Sturridge 10 minutes into the second half and created decent chances in the final third of the game only for Spurs to snatch all three points with an injury time winner by Niko Kranjcar.

Everton on the other hand twice led Blackpool only for the Tangerines to pull level on each occasion. A Charlie Adam goal seemed to have turned the game on its head but Louis Saha completed his hat trick to equalize before Jermaine Beckford and Saha again put the result beyond doubt.
