The Trotters have lost the last six meetings against Chelsea including a narrow 1-0 defeat during the Christmas period. The Blues had won just once in their last nine games before taking on Blackburn but goals from Branislav Ivanovic and Nicolas Anelka helped them secure three vital points and climb back into the top four.
