While Wolves have been impressive on the pitch, there has been little to show for their efforts with the side struggling for survival so early in the season. Mick McCarthy’s side are currently 19th in the league table and could slip down to the bottom of the table if they fail to win against Blackpool this weekend.

Wolves put up another determined performance last weekend as they almost completed an amazing comeback late in the game against Bolton. Wolves had gone behind to a first minute own goal by Richard Stearman while Johan Elmander and Stuart Holden put Bolton three goals up midway through the second half. Though Kevin Foley and Steven Fletcher managed to pull two goals back, Wolves were unable to find a deserved equalizer.

Meanwhile Blackpool too put up a good performance against bottom placed West Ham to secure a point from the stalemate. Manager Ian Holloway once again made 11 changes to the squad but Blackpool failed to breach the West Ham defense and were lucky to avoid giving away two penalties.

The Tangerines could be without three of their key players with Matthew Gilks, Craig Cathcart and Alex Baptiste all struggling with injuries while Woles could be without David Edwards and Michael Kightly.
