Aston Villa will be looking to build on their good performance from last weekend to register only their second victory in eight games when they take on Blackburn Rovers on Sunday. Watch all the live Premier League action here on Live Sport Network

Villa came very close to secure a shock victory over Manchester United last weekend. Gerard Houllier’s side was the better of the two teams and took a deserved lead in the 72nd minute when Ashley Young converted his penalty before Marc Albrighton seemed to have wrapped up the points four minutes later. However a Federico Macheda goal sparked a comeback from United who equalized through Nemanja Vidic with five minutes remaining on the clock.

Houllier expressed his satisfaction over his team’s performance but was disappointed that his side was not able to hold on to their two goal lead and secure all three points from the game. The Villa manager will now be hoping for a consistent run of form from his side as he looks to overcome a slow start to his reign at Villa Park.

Meanwhile Blackburn Rovers will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing performance against Tottenham from last weekend and secure a third win in four games to continue their climb up the league table.
